Dear Friends,
“Dzień dobry” to all of you!   
 
In November of 1918, after 123 years of foreign domination, Poland regained independence. Thus this year marks the centennial anniversary of this historic event. This is an excellent occasion not only to celebrate this great anniversary, but also to spread in our community the knowledge of the difficult history of Poland, Polish heroes as well as of the Polish culture, traditions and achievements.
 
Our annual DOŻYNKI - the traditional Polish Harvest Festival – will be Sunday, October 14, 2018. This event will begin with the Heritage Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Stanislaus Kostka church in Bay City, at which we’ll thank God for the bountiful harvest and pray for the prosperity of our country and the country of our ancestors - Poland.
 
After the Mass, the celebration will continue at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish Hall with the presentation of the harvest wreath, dinner, special games for children, as well as singing and dancing to the music of the Steve Drzewicki’s Polka Band. All are invited. Tickets for Polish Harvest Festival “DOŻYNKI” are available at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish office (989-893-6421) or from Dutch Heme (989-895-8942).  Adults - $20, children - $10. Let’s keep our Polish heritage alive. Let’s celebrate it!

WIGILIA, the ritual Polish Christmas celebration is scheduled for Saturday, December 15 , 2018. More information about this event will be in our November newsletter.

Drodzy Przyjaciele!  Serdecznie wszystkich pozdrawiam.
 
W tym roku Polska obchodzi stuletnią rocznicę odzyskania niepodległości. Po 123 latach zaborów Polska zaczęła istnieć jako niezależny byt państwowy na mapie Europy i świata. Niemała  była w tym zasługa  Stanów Zjednoczonych i ówczesnego prezydenta Woodrow Wilsona. Pamiętajmy o tym.
 
Poniżej zamieszczam plan Mszy świętych po polsku, na które serdecznie zapraszam – najbliższa już w niedzielę, 23 września.
Zapraszam wszystkich również na doroczne DOŻYNKI, które w tym roku zaplanowane są na niedzielę, 14 października.  
Informuję również, że tegoroczna Wigilia będzie miała miejsce w sobotę, 15 grudnia. Więcej informacji odnośnie Wigilii umieścimy w listopadowym wydaniu listu Towarzystwa.
