Dear Friends, “Dzień dobry” to all of you!

I hope you enjoyed the summer time to its fullness. As for myself, the last few months were extremely busy. In July, 25 travelers from Michigan joined me on a very successful tour of Poland. After the tour, Margaret and I enjoyed staying in Poland for a few more weeks. We were traveling through the country and were visiting with our families and friends. We got back home tired, but filled with wonderful memories.

As in the past, I wish to invite you to our traditional Polish Harvest Festival “Dożynki” which will take place Sunday, October 13,  at St. Stan’s campus in Bay City. More information about this event may be found below. At this celebration we would like to present a collection of traditional Polish costumes – courtesy of Sue Hutchins and Melissa Gabriel, daughters of the late Dina Wehner. Dina was a vigorous propagator of Polish culture. She traveled to Poland multiple times, and will be remembered for her continuous commitment to everything that was Polish – people, language, customs, religion and traditions.

I would also like to pay tribute to a dear friend of ours, Maciek Turowski, who passed away suddenly in August at the age of 51. Maciek was intensely involved in the Polish Heritage Society, serving on the Board of Directors. He strongly supported the celebration of monthly Mass in Polish and took an active role as a lector, cantor and choir member. We will miss his willingness to help, his readiness to celebrate on any occasion and the enjoyment of his company. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in the peace of God whom he trusted wholeheartedly.

Wishing you and your loved ones all the best and multitude of blessings.

Sincerely yours,       Deacon Stanley Kuczynski

                                                                    18 wrzesień, 2019 r.

Drodzy Przyjaciele!  Serdecznie wszystkich pozdrawiam.

Będzie go nam brakowało. Niech dobry Bóg, któremu ufał całym sercem, obdarzy go szczęściem wiecznym. Niech Maciek odpoczywa w pokoju.

Życzę Wszystkim wielu Bożych błogoslawieństw, pogody ducha, pokoju i dobra na nadchodzące jesienne dni.

Szczerze Wam oddany,     Diakon Staanislaw Kuczynski
